Even you have some extra options which you can access by tapping the ��passcode option�� and afetr that you will be able to select three kind of passcode which includes Custom numeric code, Custom alphanumeric code or 4-digit numeric code.
With the help of three passcode options, you can protect your device. You can select either Custom numeric code (any number of digits), Custom alphanumeric code (any number of letters or digits) or you can select 4-digit numeric code which you have used before. Just choose one of the following and after that follow the instructions so that you can set the password. However if you are upgrading your device then you have to go to settings of passcode and there change the passcode to new, longer one so that your device can be more secured.
Double Security
Now Apple has two-factor authentication for users. Previously the process was littelt bit complicated as you have to save the recovery key with a long string characters which Apple has instructed you to print out and then keep that in safe place. But this has created lots of problems as users sometimes forget to store or sometimes losing it and even don��t remember where they have kept it. This was little bit difficult, therefore Apple has offered this new two-factor aurthentication and this is far better simpler process. If sometimes you get locked out from your account then it can take few days for Apple to solve it. Juts visit iforgot.apple.com and there follow the instructions. After that Apple will contact you and ask you some questions and hence you can prove that you are indeed and you are not replaced by any other person.
